Runshaw College teaches itself a new level of efficiency with Postworks

Runshaw College is a further education college based in Lancashire and offering school leavers, adults and apprentices courses of all shapes and sizes.
With over 8,000 students and 600 administrative staff, post has always played an important role in the day-to-day operation of the campus. But last year, it became even more crucial.
Maintaining grades during disruption
Sending welcome packs, letters to parents and remote learning course materials was BAU for Runshaw College. As such, they had their processes down to a tee.
As long as the letters were typed, printed, stuffed and delivered to the post room in time for the 3:30 pm cut-off, there wasn’t an issue. But suddenly, things were about to change.
The unexpected and unwelcome arrival of COVID-19 meant that students and staff had to work remotely. And this meant they needed course materials ASAP.
To maintain Runshaw’s pristine postal service record, Gill Davies needed a solution that turned this monstrous, multiple-hour and somewhat impossible task into a breeze. And ideally, she needed something she could control from home.
Passing with flying colours
