Postworks confirms Real Living Wage commitment for third year running

Online post company Postworks has confirmed that it is paying the Real Living Wage to its team for the third year running.

The wage is independently calculated by The Living Wage Foundation based on the cost of living, and is voluntarily paid by 9,000 employers across the UK.

On top of paying the Real Living Wage, Postworks is also increasing salaries companywide to help combat rising energy costs and inflation.

To help ease this pressure, and the uncertainty many households are experiencing, every member of the Postworks team is receiving a permanent 5% pay rise, starting at the beginning of February 2022.

Putting people at the heart of the business

Supporting employees is incredibly important to Postworks, where people are at the heart of what the company does.

Postworks provides free lunches for all employees, offers monthly rewards like days out, meals out and cash bonuses for hitting company targets, and provides a personal development budget.

Everyone, no matter the department, benefits. Postworks recognises that every employee is responsible for the company’s success.

Flexible hours and hybrid working are also available to the whole team, so people can work in a way that is best for them.

Sustainability means looking after people too

Marvee-Lisa Booker, CEO at Postworks, said:

“Sustainability is so important to us. But it isn’t just about the environment. It’s also about taking care of our team, and making sure that they can afford to live. A company is a group of people, and those people need to have their needs met too.”

Offering the Real Living Wage to all employees is another part of Postworks’ wider approach to sustainability and responsible business.

The company has also taken steps on environmental sustainability, including becoming a carbon neutral postal company and supporting replanting schemes.

For Postworks, sustainability is not only about reducing environmental impact. It is also about building a workplace where people are supported properly, paid fairly and given room to grow.
